Starfish Play Therapy recognises its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all staff and clients.
Commitments
Starfish Play Therapy is committed, as far as reasonably practicable, to:
- Providing a safe working environment, equipment, and systems of work that are free from hazards and do not pose risks to health.
- Undertaking necessary training to maintain personal safety at work.
- Ensuring the premises are maintained in a safe condition, without health risks, and with adequate access.
- Conducting a risk assessment before each session.
- Reviewing all fire and safety information at new locations and ensuring exits are clear when using the organisation’s own playroom.
- Storing hazardous cleaning materials in a locked cupboard.
- Adhering to Starfish Play Therapys’ lone working policy.
- Ensuring a first aid kit and accident book are available in the playroom.
- Maintaining a fire extinguisher in the playroom.
